And Then There Were 10… Villa Nova Estate Winery Releases Nouveau Wine on November 21st, 2013

new On November 21, you can attend local LCBO stores and select amongst 9 offerings of Beaujolais Nouveau or 4 other nouveau wines from Italy or Ontario. The tenth nouveau, is from Norfolk County where the Villa Nova Estate Winery offers a VQA approved Marechal Foch Nouveau at the winery, or through local restaurants.

The grapes for this wine were harvested at the Pais family vineyard in Renton Ontario October 2nd, 2013 and vinified with a special fermentation strategy. Whole clusters were fermented in CO2 in a procedure called “Carbonic Maceration”. The result is a wonderful light red wine, with lots of fruit and lower alcohol content (10.4%). The wine is a versatile accompaniment to food – we just had some with herbed roasted chicken. Did I mention that there are only 25 cases, at $10.50/bottle?

We are open weekends in November and every day in December.
